Midnight Moment is the largest coordinated effort in history by the sign operators in Times Square to display synchronized, cutting-edge creative content on electronic billboards and newspaper kiosks throughout Times Square every night.
The human energy will come from all Citi Bike stations set up in Manhattan, that people were invited to ride to generate kinetic energy for the Midnight Moment.
The energy, which is collected from the bikes and stored in batteries, will be transferred to the screens in Times Square power grid to offset the energy needed to turn on and eventually play the art work during Midnight Moment.
